Fair Housing Complaints:

It's Your Right -

Federal law prohibits housing discrimination based on your race, color, national origin, religion, sex, family status, or disability. If you have been trying to buy or rent a home or apartment and you believe your rights have been violated, you can file a fair housing complaint.

The City of Terre Haute is ready to help with any problem of housing discrimination within its jurisdiction. If you think your rights have been violated, contact the Director of the Terre Haute Human Relations Commission by letter or telephone at:

Jeff Lorick, Director
Terre Haute Human Relations Commission

Booker T. Washington Community Center
1101 S. 13th Street
Terre Haute, IN 4780
(812) 232-0110

Learn more about your rights by reading about the Fair Housing Act at the U.S. Housing and Urban Development web site or contacting the HUD Office nearest you.
